Tell us about your story? 

I led a pretty healthy lifestyle as a child and competed in ballroom dancing from the age of 8. When I was 20 I decided it was time to give it up. I always tried to stay active but could never fully commit or I would make excuses. I was always considered slim, however held a most of my weight around my mid-section which I started to get self-conscious about. That’s when I decided that it was time to get serious and join a gym.


When you started your journey, what was your goal, your rezolution?

My main goal was to create a toned flat stomach and to build my booty.


How did you find the journey? 

As the gym life was all new to me, I found it intimidating to begin with, I wasn’t sure what exercises to do and whether I was doing them correctly to achieve my ultimate dream body. After about 4 months of not seeing any change, I decided to invest in a PT.

When I first started training with Simon, he taught me the correct techniques in weight training, educated me in nutrition and explained what and why we did everything and how it would help me achieve results. When I started to become more confident and started noticing a change, Simon encouraged me to compete, which was something I had never considered. However, I accepted the challenge and turned it into a goal to keep myself motivated and on track to continue achieving my goals. The training intensified, my diet tightened and that’s when it was time to say goodbye to my social life for a while.

It wasn’t an easy journey but a great one.  It challenged me not only physically but mentally and Simon was there every step of the way. Not only did he push me beyond my limits in training, he was encouraging, supportive and was always there for a chat when the emotions and doubts kicked in.

Recently, I won my first ever competition which was well beyond my expectation and there is no way I could’ve done it without the support and knowledge I received from Simon.


What ways did having a coach help you?

Everything, from correct technique in weight training, how to activate muscle groups and enhance definition to diet/nutrition to achieve the body I always wanted. It has become a lifestyle change and for the better. If I hadn’t decided to get a PT I would still be spending hours at the gym and not seeing any results.
